Very impressed with the service and professionalism at Rockingham Kia. After another Kia dealer letting me down more than once, I made the trek south to Rockingham. Staff were courteous, polite and attentive. Car was vacuumed and cleaned to a very good standard. I'll be back!
I bought a new Kia Stonic in April 2021 for a total price of $25,000 from the Rockingham dealership.
Just over 2 years later in July 2023 my audio unit started making annoying beeping noises and was constantly jumping radio stations. It also started cutting me off whenever I attempted to answer an incoming telephone phone call.
I took my car back to the dealership and was told the audio unit just needed an update, so I booked my car in on the 15/08/2023 for the update. When I collected my car later that day, I was told it was good to go. I only drove half-way down the driveway of the dealership when I realised nothing had changed so I turned around and went back into the dealership. The person serving seemed confused and called the garage. He then told me that the car was not fixed after all but would require a whole new audio system fitting, which would need ordering in. I was told I would be called once it arrived.
On 27/10/2023 I had my 36-month service, at this point my car only had 22,347 km on the clock. Since I had not heard anything from Rockingham Kia about the new audio unit I asked how much longer it was likely to take as I had already been waiting 3 months and the incessant beeping noise in my car was driving me crazy. I was told that due to supply issues it was impossible to tell but some customers were still waiting for audio parts from 7 months ago! When I stated that this was unacceptable, I was told there was nothing they could do as it was a supply issue and parts were difficult to get. However, I was told that they would enquire if Kia would allow them to fit non Kia parts in my car as then they could source the parts from another supplier and fix my audio system sooner. I was told they would call me as soon as they had received a reply from Kia. Two months later I am still waiting for that phone call!
Since the warranty for the audio unit on all new Kia cars only lasts for 3 years this delay has already eaten into 5 months of that warrantee and chances are once Rockingham Kia actually get around to replacing my audio unit my audio warranty will be close to expiring. This means if I have any issues with the new unit I will not be covered.
This being the case it begs the question as to why Kia Rockingham is not warning potential buyers BEFORE THEY PURCHASE A CAR, that their warranty means absolutely nothing as they are unable to get any parts to honour it, if the vehicle proves faulty in any way.
This means the buyer has no option but to accept a faulty car which could take several months to repair and the time they are kept waiting conveniently eats away at that so called warranty Kia are so famous for providing!
Maybe instead of selling even more defective vehicles Kia needs to STOP selling and start repairing the defective vehicles they have already sold to unsuspecting customers.
This is my second Kia but after this experience I will NEVER purchase another one and particularly from Rockingham Kia as the after sales customer care is non-existent!

When Natalie and I were looking for a new car we had narrowed down to only a few options, one of which was a Kia Cerato GT. Rockingham Kia happened to have one in a colour that we both loved (Gravity Blue) so we went to have a look at it. From the moment we arrived we had a great experience with the whole Kia team but especially Phil, the sales manager. We had a great test drive and when we came back the next day to work out a number that we could both live wit, the experience continued to be great. At no point did we feel like we were being "sold" a car and there was no high pressure sales tactics, just a good old honest negotiation from both sides. We came to an agreement and signed the paperwork. When we arrived a couple of days later to take our new car home we found it under a cover with a big bow on top, again a great experience. Our next new car with probably be another Kia and we will definitely be looking to purchase it from Rockingham Kia!

Super Dooper impressed with Rockingham Kia! Nothing was too hard. I have bought several new cars in the past and no customer service has ever come close to these guys. Phil the New Car Sales Manager went above and beyond to make sure we were well informed on our purchase, kept in the loop constantly, were fast and efficient in delivery. Extremely helpful to the point of allowing our sign writing people in to do the work onsite as well as washing the car for them beforehand! When we picked the car up, Phil took his time in making sure we were fully knowledgeable on the workings of the vehicle before we drove it away. Thank you Phil and Rockingham KIA, you have a client for life. Not to mention, that the Cerato is FABULOUS!!
From point of contact to post delivery service was a comfortable experience. Sales staff were warm and friendly. I came in 30mins before they were closing on a Saturday and never once felt like I was being rushed. I dealt with Doug Smith, he made the sale and after sales experience stress free. My calls or texts were responded to promptly. I had a couple of concerns with my vehicle two weeks after delivery, and true to his word had he had my concerns resolved quickly. Happy to recommend anyone to deal with Doug.
